Centerpiece is an upbeat blues song that reminds Dean to stay optimistic when dealing with the blues. "Most improvised solos end with a blues phrase,” Dean’s adds, “It’s not a coincidence that in our last breath, when we have no more time, we play the blues.” Centerpiece features Dean’s frequent collaborators Jack Glottman, Russell Hall, and Charles Goold.
