About the Album

Broken Roses was written in 2008 while I was living in Boston and going to the Berklee College of Music. It is about the ending of all sorts of relationships and the opportunities that are born out of that. It features some of my favorite musicians including the recent winner of the Thelonious Monk Saxophone Competition : Melissa Aldana Michael Palma: piano; Melissa Aldana: tenor sax; Greg Chaplin: bass; Mark Whitfield Jr.: drums.
