Alluring song. A straight-ahead piano trio, but Tander's voice turns it into something more than just a conventional trio sound. A little bit of tension, a little bit of drama, and plenty of warmth. The kind of track that makes me sure she'd be a great act to check out live. Nice.

This Netherlands-based singer represents a new sound in the Dutch jazz landscape: mysterious, narrative, soft and beautiful, yet also humorous, powerful, and even edgy. Fresh off a training opportunity with azz icon Sheila Jordan in New York, Tander was featured on the soundtrack of the German cult movie Tatort and in the television series Der Kriminalist, and has already done many shows in Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, and was awarded the Young VIP tour in 2010. Her debut album Wagma was released in March 2011. As Simin puts it: "Finally! With this album, I'm able to express what I can't capture in words."
