About the Album

"Ausente" is the debut CD of the pianist Pedro Neves as project leader and composer. The trio that comprises the bass player Miguel Ângelo Coelho and the drummer Leandro Leonet, sets up and explores, as a whole, the original jazz compositions that integrate the album. The nine themes that make up this album reveal the identity of each of the jazz trio members individually and as a group. Full of melodies and various ambiances, interaction and improvisation, "Ausente" is a record that takes you to unique times and places that urge to be shared.
