From the Department of This & That: From the Department of This & That
We have some assorted news to share from the Department of This & That...

Gottlieb, Wertico and Sanchez!

First, I'd like to thank Joe Vella and everyone (Danny Gottlieb, Paul Wertico and Antonio Sanchez, Mark Egan, Steve Rodby, Peter Erskine and Vinnie Colaiuta) who contributed to his Phase Dance / Pat Metheny Group drummers article. It was read 5,000 times on the first day of publication and continues to generate strong interest.

Spotify Playlist of the Day

We're launching a new promotional service: Spotify Playlist of the Day. Very much like our Video of the Day service, Playlist of the Day is priced the same ($50) and we'll present your playlist in the same locations as the Video of the Day (home page and the sidebar column of all other pages).

Note to advertisers

As mentioned above, Phase Dance the article celebrating the drummers of Pat Metheny Group generated 5,000 reads on day one. Think about that for a moment. Now imagine your ad on that page—that's 5,000 ad impressions (and your ad could have been Album Showcase, Featured Album, Video of the Day, or a Big Bopper banner). That's a lot of eyeballs. If you advertise in print and aren't getting the results you were hoping for, contact us. We'll put your message in front of the largest collection of jazz readers on the internet.

Zildjian Giveaway

Zildjian is sponsoring our latest contest and they're giving a 20" K custom flat top ride cymbal—a $400+ value. Pros, students and enthusiasts are all encouraged to enter. Entering an All About Jazz requires a single button click. Enter today.

Welcome St. Petersburg, Florida!

We added St. Petersburg to Jazz Near You. Turns out, St. Pete / Clearwater has their own scene which is separate from Tampa.
