Il pianista romano Massimo Fedeli si presenta alla testa di un sestetto di musicisti- amici coi quali mette a fuoco un omaggio toccante ai suoi miti, a cominciare dal tastierista austriaco Joe Zawinul. Tutte le composizioni sono dello stesso Fedeli e ripercorrono scenari cari al jazz-rock e alla musica fusion. I musicisti coinvolti sono competenti e assecondano perfettamente il progetto del leader.

Il sax di Simone Salza è pimpante e timbricamente flessuoso, la chitarra di Egidio Marchitelli sa prendersi spazi brevi di centralità per poi ritornare a condire ritmicamente gli arrangiamenti. Il leader è puntuale e preciso a ricoprire il suo ruolo, sapendo bene guidare ed amalgamare la musica dei suoi compagni di viaggio.
