Tammy Hall: Blue Divine
Su questo Blue Divine la Hall si esibisce in alcuni brani in trio insieme a batteria e percussioni, o con basso e batteria: in tutti sfoggia un'enorme comunicativa, un approccio diretto con il pubblico, sfornando dei temi facili e dall'immediata presa, senza armonie complicate o improvvisazioni difficili da seguire. Dal brano di apertura, dalle evidenti ispirazioni brasiliane, al blues finale, è tutto un susseguirsi di pezzi che esaltano la cantabilità e la melodia. Ne risulta un disco gradevole, che si ascolta volentieri in sottofondo e che in questa facilità ha la sua forza. Chi pretende complessità armoniche e strutturali si troverà qui completamente fuori luogo.
