BlueNoiseBand: Brad Green From Queens

Representing one of a few welcome musical surprises for 2001, the Austin, Texas-based “BlueNoiseBand,” conveys a distinctive identity throughout, as this outfit bridges the gap between, power-rock, free jazz, klezmer and more. With the opener “Austria,” the quartet renders a 2-step waltz motif, followed by an audacious mid-tempo swing groove, featuring saxophonist David Lobel’s wily, multi-tracked free-jazz style motifs, and the band’s crashing cadenzas.
