TGIF Playlist

Way back in the previous millennium, the Easybeats captured a universal Friday feeling with their 1966 one-hit-wonder with the unforgettable line, “Monday I’ll have Friday on my mind.” The phrase TGIF—thank goodness it’s Friday—actually dates back even further, first appearing in an Ohio newspaper in 1941 before quickly embedding itself into the American cultural lexicon.

The concept of our TGIF playlist follows two simple principles. 1. Bartenders and scientists agree, music sounds better on Fridays. 2. Pick great songs that have stood the test of time, or killer soloist (spanning genres.) Whether you’re a music-loving commuter winding down after a long workweek or simply relaxing at home, this playlist was crafted with you in mind.
