Album Description

"Warmin' Up" pays homage to classic jazz circa early/mid 1950's. With Be-bop, cool jazz and latin influences, this release by guitarist Dave Wright features nine original compositions influenced by early giants of be-bop influenced jazz guitar such as Kenny Burrell, Tal Farlow and Jimmy Raney. Weighing in at thirty seven minutes the recording features a wonderful cast of supporting musicians, including drummer Tommaso Monopoli, who's newest release "Accidental Rolling" features Dave on several tracks. Previous releases by Dave include "Blue Beach Boardwalk" (2014), "Jazz Social" (2013) and Music From The International Airport Hotel Lounge (2014) among others. Suggested tracks: Sleepology, String Beats, Blues For Bebop Dave Wright is a Guitarist/Composer currently living in the San Francisco Bay Area and is available as a leader and sideman as well as being open to collaborations, this is his first "50's inspired Jazz" release.
