About the Album After more than 30 years composing for film, Santi Vega felt the need to break free from short sequences and create long developments that allow him to dive deeper into the music itself. “Un Instante Infinito” is a Solo Piano album: intimate, mature, powerful and intense. A carefully crafted project in every aspect, reminiscent of the great productions of Manfred Eicher for ECM. Vega's unique and original language draws from a wide range of influences: contemporary jazz, classical music and world music. Biography Santi Vega is a Spanish musician with a long career as a composer and multi- instrumentalist who has dedicated his life to music for films and documentaries. In addition to his many released soundtracks (Audiovisual Works, Viajando Hacia La Luz, La Fuente Amarilla, Mundos Perdidos, Eyengui, 14 Kilómetros, Cantábrico, Panteras...), from time to time he offers works outside of film that are true gems of contemporary instrumental music. Vega was awarded the II National Award for Contemporary Jazz for Big Band in 1999. He has received several nominations for the Goya Awards and other international recognitions. In 2007 he won Best Original Score at Seminci (Valladolid) for '14 Kilómetros'. With “Un Instante Infinito” he returns to solo piano with an intimate, mature and intense work.
