Jazz on life and death! In There Is No Future, the jazz singer Sara Aldén makes her album debut with self-composed music and arranged jazz standards with a focus on grand crescendos and vulnerable intimacy. She creates jazz on life and death where the question of time running out of our hands takes place. Sara Aldén and her trio present a musical sinkhole in the ongoing history of jazz, where doom-filled and approaching compositions alternate with dizzying arpeggios and dystopian and lyrical sound worlds. The album begins with saturated arrangements and dense compositions loaded with energy and drive to gradually turn into open hopelessness and question marks. Closing out the album is "What a Wonderful World" where time is reminded and throws the listener into a rocking vacuum. In warm harmony with August Björn (piano) and Daniel Andersson (double bass), Sara Aldén explores how contemporary jazz expresses itself when three musicians from the Nordic countries shine together.
