The Promise of You is the sixth studio album from New York–
based jazz singer and songwriter Marcus Goldhaber, and
by all measures his most prolific collection to date, pairing
modern-meets-classic originals with reimagined standards.
His intimate, expressive, story-driven vocals and refreshingly
nuanced songwriting take listeners on a journey toward
hope, swingin’ in seamless collaboration with an outstanding
band led by pianist and co-producer Art Hirahara. Exploring
themes of desire, joy, love, playfulness, and partnership-
having it, longing for it, and rediscovering it. This album
swings and sways, lingers and longs for the listener to get
lost in the journey toward companionship, fueled by hope
and promise.
