In Eastern tradition, a "pillow book" isn't merely a bedtime story, but a collection of dreamlike musings. Here, it captures the murmurs, delusions, and distorted memories caught in the liminal space of midnight insomnia.

This album does not interpret dreams; it is an intimate pillow book—a night-long jazz dream of love and intoxication. Wandering through Jazz Pop, Bossa Nova, and Jazz Fusion, it uses jazz harmonies and improvisation to express the profound complexities of romance.

The result is an erratic stream of consciousness, leaping wildly from a pirate starship in a flipped galaxy to an unfinished, flat soda left at the Summer Palace years ago. Every track wanders through psychedelic fantasies while ruminating on the mundane, using the grandest metaphors to wrap around life's smallest, most everyday sorrows.
