Album Description
The band trying to explain the album to the artist who painted the cover:
"Into the Fire was always about humanities greed, constant burying our heads in the sand, and refusal to listen to scientists; destroying our home through climate change. Caves of Ilus was inspired by a sci-fi bit of The Expanse where they are stuck in this cave with everything going wrong and trying to persevere in complete hopeless and deteriorating circumstances. Sun Sands is a nice little zoom out from all of the earth's problems and is about a bunch of celestial beings just hanging out on the surface of the sun and enjoying the show and feel of solar flares like we might at the beach on a nice day. In her Arms (I belong) is a love song about always having a safe place to go to after the world batters you each day and it doesn't really fit the narrative I'm making up but whatever. Garden Party is just a big fun party song thinking about what goblins would be up to on some big ritual celebration that means a lot to them.
So it's kind of like what the world could look like after humans have fucked it up and killed themselves off it, but then over a few hundred million years or so the planet heals and life flourishes again, and this is the new world which the new intelligent species of the planet hopefully celebrates rather than exploits
