Album Description
"Peasant Song" is jazz piece with several fusion elements including polyphonic vocals, which in some moments have Gospel reminiscence and at times they sound like a Motet from medieval music. The main voice is accompanied by a jazz trio and trumpet. The sections in which the Synths and Keyboards appear are a metaphor of time. The Synths and Keyboards create a temporal lapse, a sense of “timelessness”, like hanging outside of time. The choir and the main voice describe what a peasant woman feels, and console her, alluding to the moment when love will come into her life. Music and lyrics by Uriel Pascucci.
