Album Description

Hattie Simon, Nick Semenykhin, Gabriel Seymour, and Itamar Shapiro met at The New School for Jazz and Comtemporary Music and came together in 2018 to perform at the Bern Jazz Festival. In the year that followed, the group began to work collectively on a recording project of both original music and several jazz standards, with the help of acclaimed trumpeter/composer Dave Douglas (Greenleaf Music) and producer/multi-instrumentalist Geoff Countryman. The group’s members bring a distinctly global perspective to their music-making, hailing from Ukraine, Israel, and the United States.
