Easy Star Records is proud to present the third full-length album from Flying Vipers, OFF WORLD, out April 11th, 2025 on vinyl & cassette. After 10 years of instrumental dubwise reggae, the next chapter of the band has arrived, with new addition Kellee Webb’s soulful lead vocals adding depth to the Vipers’ cassette-crafted sound.

While OFF WORLD is largely comprised of original compositions, three covers encapsulate the lyrical and musical themes found throughout the LP: an alienation anthem from Northwest punk pioneers Wipers; the instrumental theme from the cult classic animated film La Planète Sauvage (featuring the acclaimed jazz harpist Brandee Younger); and most likely the first dubwise Sun Ra tribute. Their own singles, like "Believers & Deceivers" and "Jackals," confront the grim reality of modern culture, wondering if life in America (and/or Earth) is worth fighting for or leaving behind. Through it all the drum and bass anchor the music, helping listeners to hold their ground and to guide an escape into sonic space.
