Album Description

“Na Casa da Nuvem” meaning “ At The Cloud House” is Cícero Lee ́s third album. Recorded in a spontaneous session which brought together Joel Silva (drums) and Salomão Soares (piano), this album also features two special guests: Desidério Lázaro and Tomás Marques (saxophones). Composed mostly of original material, two versions were also recorded: “Fado do Alentejo” (Rão Kyao / Rosa Lobato de Faria) and “A Ver Se Sim” (Clã). The remaining compositions are by Cícero Lee, however gaining their own identity through the two musicians who complete the trio. Salomão Soares, a virtuous pianist, is expressive and intense in the interpretation of melodies, rhythmic and inventive in improvisations, while Joel Silva leads and creates opportunities for all instrumentalists to express themselves, being, however, explosive and surprising in his interventions. “In the Cloud House” is the record of a spontaneous session in which three musicians, yet unknown to each other, present themselves musically and dialogue based on the melodies composed by Cícero Lee.
