The music from Invasion! showcases the search for balance in the context of music for a group of these dimensions. Balance that is not only reﬂected in the instrumentation and arrangements, the choice of instruments that embody each melody by its character, but also in the use of the resources from the compositions throughout the duration of the album. Thus, the strength of the ensemble and the depth conferred by the range of details provided by each instrumentalist are woven together between compositions that prioritize diversity to deliver the organic work that this album represents. Although the jazz origin of the music is verifiable not only from each musician's background and in their interventions as improvisers, but also in the structural approach of the songs and their dialogue with this tradition, the sextet in many moments constructs horizontal situations where the global sound seems to prevail over the role of each individual. This is one of the elements in the constellation of psychic poles in the music of this sextet, which leave these moments of strangeness to go through rhythmically precise and articulated situations, long-winded melodies, a certain aggressiveness in the ensemble or their immediate appeasement.
