Album Description

"IL DONO DELL'UBIQUITÀ", released on October 2, 2020 by Sun Village Records supported by Puglia Sounds Records and the distribution of I.R.D. This is the third recording work of the singer, pianist, arranger and conductor, who in recent years has collected important experiences and participations, performing in the most important Italian and international festivals and in the best clubs, including the Blue Note in Milan, Tokyo and Beijing together with Nicola Conte, and participating in Sanremo 2015 as arranger and conductor for Il Volo, winners among the Big and Serena Brancale among the young proposals. Created with the artistic and technical support of his brother Filippo Bubbico, who produced the entire album, "Il dono dell'ubiquità" (The gift of ubiquity) reaps the fruits of the numerous collaborations started over the years by Carolina. In fact, numerous national and international musicians have been involved in the recordings: BabaSissoko, Michael Mayo, AbdissaAssefa, Simon Moullier, Redi Hasa, Sud Sound System, Speaker Cenzou, Serena Brancale, Davide Shorty, Rachele Andrioli, Nando Di Modugno, Giovanni Chirico, Clara Calignano, Antonio De Marianis, Manu Funk, Morris Pellizzari, Paco Carrieri, as well as Luca Alemanno, Federico Pecoraro, Dario Congedo. Five years after the previous album, the artist comes back with an extensive work that contains fifteen tracks, all in Italian, except for one song in French, "Voyage". The songs stand out for their variety of style, testifying to Carolina Bubbico's ability and propensity to always find new meeting points between different musical languages. As the title of the album suggests, Carolina conceives a truly heterogeneous music, beyond any label. In this new work, in fact, the artist freely explores various sound universes, creating chiaroscuro between acoustic and electronic, between danceable grooves, intimate songs and world sounds. The songs portray pictures of life lived through real and imaginary characters, telling the complexity of the human soul, crossing universal themes. "Il dono dell'ubiquità" has also been a distinctive feature of the production. The home studio mode in the places of residence of the various musicians or in their own recording studios, was conducted and managed by Carolina, finding herself at the same time giving indications on several fronts, acquiring materials, in a "whole" that much explains her innate ability to coordinate and thus contributing to give the whole work an authentic artistic inspiration.
