Album Description

Produced by Delia Fischer and Matias Correa (bassist and singer), also responsible for the recordings and mixes, the album took shape over more than 30 lives that the artist broadcast from her living room, at the piano, via YouTube and Facebook, during the pandemic. The interaction with the public made her revisit songs that appear resignified on the album 'Hoje': iconic themes that seem to have been composed today, in arrangements that privilege the piano and the voice of Delia Fischer. element. Of the nine songs in "Hoje", two are authorial: "Tempo de Amar" (with lyrics by Ronaldo Bastos and a poem by Carlos Drummond de Andrade), originally written for the voice of Milton Nascimento and theme of the homonymous soap opera on TV Globo, and "Blues de acabar", which closes the album, a partnership with Márcio Moreira in 2020. The recording has the very special participation of Ney Matogrosso. "Ney's voice has everything to do with the musical path of the melody. He has this emotional charge, as a great interpreter that he is", points out Delia. Guilherme Arantes’s words for "My world and nothing else" gain even more strength in the times we live in. The track features Matias Correa on vocals and double bass. "Hoje", Taiguara's song released in 1969, was in Delia's memory in a diffuse way. During a live, a fan asked her to play it in honor of the composer's 75th birthday in 2020. "When I went to prepare it for the next live, I was shocked by the beauty of the melody and the timeliness of the lyrics." In addition to giving the album its title, the song summarizes the poetic and musical concept of the new album and has a music video directed by Nando Chagas. element. Released on Beto Guedes' debut LP, from 1977, "A Página do Relâmpago Elétrico" (Beto Guedes and Ronaldo Bastos) marked Delia Fischer's adolescence and introduced her to the musicians of Clube da Esquina, the celebrated Milton Nascimento album of 1972, with whom she would later work. "The music of Minas Gerais is like an egregore, which brought sophisticated harmony, knowledge, feet firmly planted in the baroque and a connection with the world", he evaluates. Also from Minas Gerais are Flavio Venturini and Murilo Antunes, authors of "Nascente", from the same LP by Beto Guedes, with Matias Correa on double bass and vocals.
