About Heroes

This project is my personal celebration of the musicians who shaped my development as both a saxophonist and composer. Heroes features all original compositions, each a nod to the sounds and styles of legendary artists such as Miles Davis, Weather Report, Wayne Shorter, Joe Zawinul, Herbie Hancock, Marcus Miller, The Brecker Brothers, Ralph Towner, Alan Holdsworth, Bill Bruford, and many others. These artists have not only influenced the way I play but have also inspired the very essence of my creative process.

Bringing together a team of talented musicians, recording engineers, and visionaries, I have crafted a sound that blends traditional jazz with modern influences, creating something fresh while paying homage to the genre's rich history. I hope that Heroes will resonate with jazz lovers who appreciate the evolution of the music and its ability to transcend time and tradition.

What Drives Me

Jazz, for me, is a lifelong pursuit. I am deeply passionate about composing, arranging, and performing my original pieces. What I love most about jazz is its boundless creativity – the constant exploration of new ideas, sounds, and emotions. The opportunity to collaborate with great musicians, studying the legends while discovering new voices, is what fuels my artistic growth.

I believe music and art are vital to humanity because they bridge gaps, inspire hope, and promote connection. Whether through the energy of a live performance or the introspection of a well-crafted song, art is a reflection of the human experience and a powerful tool for intellectual and emotional growth.

A Personal Thank You

This project wouldn’t have been possible without the immense talents of the musicians who brought my compositions to life in the studio. I want to offer my sincerest gratitude to my wife, Rebecca, for her unwavering support, and to the recording engineers who helped ensure the sound captured in the studio reflects my vision. Special thanks go to the Nevada Arts Council for their grant support and to my executive producers, Mark Dobronski, Frank Dileonardo, and Steve Arnold, for their guidance and collaboration in completing this large-scale production.
