Following from their debut album DREAMS FULFILLED on Acid Jazz Records and subsequent digital E.P 'Helix' (Acid Jazz, 2021), the band released their second album on the iconic label during summer 2022 – FORWARD THINKER (Jazz FM Album Of The Week) – with performances at the prestigious New Morning in Paris and sold out concerts at Pizza Express Jazz Club and Glasgow Jazz Festival among others. First single “High Time” – was championed by Jamie Cullum on BBC Radio 2’s ‘The Jazz Show’. The album received universally positive acclaim in the UK, France and internationally. Jazz FM awarded it 'Album of The Week' upon release, playlisted all three singles from the album and recorded a live session with the band at Jazz FM HQ. A further live session and interview was recorded in Paris for Radio France Internationale's (RFI) Musique du Monde programme. Jazzwise Magazine called Forward Thinker “a very accomplished record", while France's leading Jazz Magazine described it as a "masterful album". The title track received international playlist action on Spotify from Jazz UK, Fresh Finds Jazz and Jazz re:freshed's Dope Jazz playlist, as the album's main single. The album features some of the UK's top jazz musicians as guest performers, including Nathaniel Cross (Solange, Moses Boyd), Jackson Mathod (Blue Lab Beats), Charlotte de Graaf (Kid Creole & The Coconuts) and the legendary percussionist Steve Forman (Lee Ritenour, David Bowie etc) . As with the band’s previous releases, the LP was produced by Nuovi Fratelli – production duo Wayne A. Dickson and Luigi Pasquini. It sees the band expand their musical horizons, incorporating hip-hop and dance elements to the jazz, world and funk sounds they are well known for.
