Wayne Dickson

DJ-Producer Wayne Dickson continues to bring a unique approach to dance music culture with his passion for soul, disco, funk and jazz, promoting his club and radio events, alongside releases on his celebrated Groove Line Records and Big Break Records (BBR) record labels. As well as running his own parties in the UK, Wayne has also guested at events alongside club legends like Francois K., Danny Krivit, Greg Wilson and Arthur Baker, whom he recently launched the Dance Masters series with for the BBC's Demon Music label. Wayne is one half of Nuovi Fratelli, a production duo with Engineer/Producer and synth player Luigi Pasquini. Their mission is to explore creative and experimental avenues in music, crossing genres with uncompromising high production values. The duo first came to prominence when remixing Change's 1985 classic Let's Go Together in 2019, and later for producing Nimbus Sextet's first two albums 'Dreams Fulfilled' (2020) and 'Forward Thinker' (2022) for Acid Jazz Records. They are based in Glasgow and work out of Pasquini's 'Dystopia Studios'. Nuovi Fratelli's Cosmic Disco remix of Str4ta's Rhythm Your Mind was issued on Brownswood in 2021. They produced folk/funk act The Paracosmos' singles 'Little Beacons,' and its follow-up 'Earthling,' which saw the team work with the legendary Linda Lewis on her final recording sessions. The duo have several remix and production projects lined up for 2024. The first of which is their debut single, which is a new arrangement of the Roy Ayers Ubiquity classic 'Searching,' backed by Nimbus Sextet and featuring alt-soul vocalists Russell Stewart and lissappear.
