Nuovi Fratelli (producers Wayne Dickson and Luigi Pasquini) have created a sun-soaked cover of Roy Ayers Ubiquity’s 1976 jazz/soul classic ‘Searching’ with Nimbus Sextet, one of the most exciting and innovative groups on the UK Jazz scene. The single has been met with universal praise, with major support from Gilles Peterson, Jazz FM and Craig Charles on BBC Radio 6 Music, who described Nimbus Sextet "as a supremely talented outfit". Following their joyous of their first two albums, released on Acid Jazz Records - ‘Dreams Fulfilled’ (2020) and ‘Forward Thinker’ (2022) - which were playlisted by Jazz FM and garnered critical acclaim from Jazzwise Magazine, Uncut and Jamie Cullum’s show on BBC Radio 2, ‘Searching’ shows Nimbus Sextet drawing on their considerable talent to build a glorious hit with Nuovi Fratelli that feels like the first rays of summer sun on the back of the neck.
