Album Description

An Evening at the Swan captures a moment in time. Four musicians, at the top of their craft, come together to offer this collection of jazz classics. Malou Beauvoir, drawing on influences from R&B to pop and soul, and to Haitian folkloric songs; Jean Chaudron, whose brilliant and evocative bass lines are informed by a background in rock; Bernard Désormières, whose grounding lies in classical piano, and Alain Buchaux, simply one of the quintessential jazz drummers of his day. This unlikely quartet now melds into a smooth and delicious blend of musical flavors: Startling in its clarity; Lush in its simplicity.
