pianoAlbum Description
Music is always one of the best ways to bridge distances and forge close partnerships. The encounter between the Portuguese singer Maria João and the Brazilian pianist and composer André Mehmari is a wonderful example of this in terms of sound. "Algodão" is a concert full of surprises and dreams that promises to write a new chapter in the history of this duo. André Mehmari's repertoire includes new songs that he has composed especially for this duo, with Maria João providing the lyrics. Her ability to innovate, her freedom to switch between genres and her ever-new adventurousness make Maria João's career, which has now spanned four decades, an example of constant renewal and an inexhaustible source of surprises.
