Inner Circle Music proudly presents A Seeker’s Dream, the second album from rising German saxophonist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Marubia. Set for release on October 7, 2025, the album is a deeply personal work that blends the spiritual depth of Nordic and spiritual jazz with ambient soundscapes, trip hop grooves, and lush, cinematic arrangements. Unbound by conventional jazz narratives, Marubia’s music unfolds as an invitation inward. Influenced by spiritual jazz legends like John Coltrane, Pharoah Sanders, Wayne Shorter, and Jan Garbarek, she builds on their legacy with a contemporary, highly personal, and singular voice. Her soundscapes evoke stillness and transformation, creating what one collaborator fittingly described as a sense of nocturnal elegance—music for the quiet hours of reflection and awakening. A Seeker’s Dream features nine original compositions that reflect Marubia’s emotional depth and intuitive artistry. The opener and closer—“Intro” and “Outro”—frame the album as a dreamlike experience, moving beyond linear time and form. From expansive ambient meditations to rhythmic vamps and expressive improvisations, each piece contributes to the album’s overarching vision: a sound journey that mirrors the inner landscape of the human spirit. Marubia performs on tenor and soprano saxophones, bass clarinet, and vocals, and serves as the arranger of horn and string sections heard throughout the record. She is joined by her musical partner Fontaine Burnett, a multi- instrumentalist and composer who brings his mastery of bass, piano, LinnStrument, synthesizers, and drums to the project. Their collaboration, rooted in emotional and artistic trust, infuses the album with unity and fluidity. The tracks offer glimpses into Marubia’s life and creative process: a melody received in a dream (As Far As the Heart Can See), reflections on personal transformation (What If), global social struggles (Gift Us Peace), and the call to inner change (Remember). While these pieces are highlighted for their stories, each track in A Seeker’s Dream carries equal weight—woven together to form an unbroken arc of sound and spirit.
