Bamboleo: Yo no me parezco a nadie
This is a well engineered and mixed recording of a vocal quartet, backed by a fiery Cuban group that epitomizes what can only be described as a “CubHip” musical mien. Grittstylish vocals to savor under the pulsating attack of its fierce horns, whereupon a rare trombone contribution turns over their pugnacious, impertinent and flavorful arrangements.
Unfortunately, due to the insidious practice of payola and evil nationalistic chauvinisms, within all Latin markets, as well as its corresponding glut of crap, this, their second effort did not get its well deserved share of radio programming and sales. Hey! So? Let them be lame! Be one step ahead, and jump right in bamboleándote you are still in time to do so.
