Uploading Your Events to Jazz Near You: A How-To Guide

Jazz Near You offers several methods to upload or export your events to our platform where we'll freely distribute them from our website, our weekly newsletter and our calendar plug-in.

Submission Form

Use our event submission form to upload a single event or up to 16 recurring events. You can also use our handy time-saving copy (event) feature. Just click the "Copy" button on an existing event detail page.

Batch Upload Form

Upload several events at once with our handy batch upload form.

We are currently working on a new, more user-friendly version.

XML Feed

Export events via an XML feed.

Export events via an JSON feed.

We import events from the following ticketing services:

  • Bandsintown;
  • Brown Paper Tickets;
  • Etix;
  • Evvnt;
  • InstantSeats;
  • SquadUP;
  • Ticketmaster / Ticketweb / TicketsNow / LiveNation;
  • VenuePilot
  • plus, global jazz organizations in Finland, France, Belgium and Denmark.

Tips

  • If an event is associated with a festival, include the festival name, otherwise, leave it blank.
  • All venue and festival names must match exactly how they are listed at Jazz Near You. To check a venue or festival name, simply search for it under the By Business Directory tab.
  • Use the bandleader's name as the "Title" and repeat his/her name in the "Participating musicians" section. Use full names and do not include a musician's instrument.

FAQ

Q: Can I update my events once I upload them?
Yes. Just click the orange "Update" button on the event's detail page or go to your My Events Page.

Q: Where will my events be shown once I upload them?
Q: Why do I get forwarded to my member page when I try to submit an event?
If you are trying to submit an event and you are being redirected to your member page, please do the following: Log out of All About Jazz (or Jazz Near You); Delete your browser's All About Jazz cookie (just to be safe); Log back into All About Jazz. Once you log back in, you'll also be logged in at Jazz Near You and you can freely upload your events.
