Jules Day has developed a unique sound that has almost become its own genre. Decorating each self-penned song with a proficient voice that sounds unlike any other singer, the style is increasingly being referred to as simply “Jules Day music," a hybrid of Day’s life-long musical influence including pop, blues, jazz, and bossa nova. After successfully auditioning to become a member of a nationally known music ensemble, 18 year-old Jules packed her suitcase and drove from her hometown of Minneapolis to Los Angeles to start her music career. Barely settled in Southern California, Jules received an offer to pursue a solo career as a recording artist and immediately entered the recording studio to work on her debut album

Paul Jost

When describing the unique vocalist and arranger Paul Jost, two words come to mind … “passionate storyteller”. Paul is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and arranger but it is his work as a vocalist that makes him a standout. Both critics and contemporaries alike say he is one of the best male jazz vocalists since Mark Murphy. Paul has performed worldwide with recent tours in Asia and Europe. Back home in the U.S, Paul is making his mark in New York with an ongoing residency at the internationally acclaimed jazz club 55 Bar, a two-month stint in 2017 at SMOKE performing with Orrin Evans, guest appearances with vibraphonist Joe Locke at Dizzy's Coca Cola Club at the Lincoln Center in April 2018 and performances at such popular clubs as Mezzrow, Jazz at Kitano’s and more

Andi Hopgood

Born: August 1, 1982

Andi has always been surrounded by diverse selection of music. Her father being a musician and mother a dancer exposed her to all kinds of music form an early age. Jazz quickly became a favourite to listen to, but didn't become a dominating factor until much later in life. Andi did a music degree at the Colchester institute with studies of classical saxophone and cello, but for fun played in the Jazz orchestra and went to the Jazz Singers group. The directors of these ensembles advised her to take a new direction and swap studies to Jazz voice and saxophone, so she began to study with Malcom Miles and Trudy Kerr

Today Naturally 7 are Roger Thomas (musical director, arranger, 1st Baritone, Rap), Warren Thomas (percussion, guitar, clarinet, 3rd tenor), Rod Eldridge (1st tenor, scratching, trumpet), Jamal Reed (4th Tenor, electric guitar), Dwight Stewart (2nd baritone), Garfield Buckley (2nd Tenor, Harmonica) and "Hops" Hutton (Bass). The origins of the group date back to New York City in 1999 when Roger Thomas started the group with his brother, Warren, and five other talented singers they had come to know over the years from singing around the city. Having been in and out of several traditional male groups over the years, Roger developed an affinity for a cappella sounds and a unique ability to create distinct harmony arrangements

Bev Kelly

Born: June 18, 1934

Kelly, Bev (Beverly Wolfe Kelly), vocalist, composer, vocal coach; b. Rittman, Ohio, 18 June 1934. She grew up in Troy, Ohio. Her father was Donald W. Wolfe, (1914-1984) and her mother was Dora Ruble Wolfe, (1915-1983). Her brother is Bill, b. 1938. At the age of five, she began studying classical piano, which she continued through high school. At age fourteen, she began studying classical voice, which culminated into a four-year vocal scholarship at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. While at the Conservatory, Bev began her professional singing career with the Teddy Raymore Trio. The trio performed not only jazz, but comedy, show tunes and popular music, an invaluable learning experience, giving Bev a solid background in show business. After the birth of her first son, Greg in 1954, Bev teamed up with gifted pianist, Pat Moran

Captain Beefheart

Born: January 15, 1941

Avant-garde rock legend and visual artist Don Van Vliet, who performed under the name Captain Beefheart, began experimenting with eccentric rock’n'roll sounds in the mid-1960s. His first two releases with the Magic Band drew positive notice from some connoisseurs but failed to connect with the wider public.

Van Vliet next forged a close creative partnership with Frank Zappa, a former high school classmate, who signed Beefheart to his Straight Records and produced 1969′s Trout Mask Replica. While the bizarre double album was not a major commercial success, it quickly became a cultural landmark.

Christine Hitt

Born: February 9, 1963

The daughter of two musicians, Christine Hitt started her recording career with the MAXJAZZ record label in 1999. During her time in St. Louis as a jazz vocalist and pianist, Christine recorded and performed with Ugonna Okegwo, Bruce Barth, Montez Coleman, Peter Mayer, and Tom Kennedy, among others. Her solo CD You’d Be So Nice to Come Home To features drummer Jeff Hamilton and bassist Tom Kennedy. The recording received international distribution and airplay. It can be heard on music streaming services for Sirius XM, Direct TV, Nordstroms, Gap, Olive Garden and American Airlines. Her upcoming release Magical Kite was recorded at Capitol studios and was produced by Geoffrey Keezer and features Jeff Hamilton, John Beasley, Bob Sheppard, and Gene Coye As a pop vocalist, Christine has recorded jingles for companies including Maxwell House, Anheuser Busch, Circle K and Ramada Inn

Tina Marsh

Born: January 18, 1954

Tina Marsh (January 18, 1954 -June 16, 2009 was a jazz vocalist and composer based in Austin, Texas. Marsh was the creative director of the Creative Opportunity Orchestra (or CO2), a large jazz ensemble which she founded in 1980. Marsh was born in Annapolis, Maryland. During the late-1970s, she worked as an actor in musical theatre in and around New York City and Philadelphia. While living in New York, she began forming ideas about jazz singing. After moving to Austin, Marsh attended concerts by Anthony Braxton and Sam Rivers at Armadillo World Headquarters. These performances inspired her to form her first professional group, New Visions Ensemble, with Alex Coke, Rock Savage, Booka Michel and Horatio Rodriguez

Nicole Yarling

Nicole Yarling defies description. Her myriad of personal influences have created a product that begs attention across the board. Her chosen instruments are voice, violin and fiddle (in that order). Nicole is a rich velvet voice with technical skill and personality to boot! She is a rising star in the jazz community who, like many others, has been at it for years.
