Simple Minded Symphony

Simple Minded Symphony was originally founded after four eighth-grade band students heard Less Than Jake's "Does the Lion City Still Roar," and collectively said, "Why have we never heard this before?" First stop was a school talent show, and by the next year they were performing for most of the town on the main stage of the annual Relay For Life. Since then, it's been a whirlwind of gigs, songwriting, and many hours of simply hanging out as a band to forge a group whose number one priority is simply doing what they love: Playing music. This ska ensemble survived through two of its members moving away a mere two years after its founding, and have managed to expand into the Seattle area with performances and opportunities
