Jim Gailloreto

Jim Gailloreto is an accomplished jazz saxophonist and composer. His jazz style is rooted in a modern post-bop approach.
As a freelance musician he has performed with the Chicago Jazz Ensemble, Chicago Chamber Musicians, Fulcrum Point, Chroma Chamber Orchestra & Chicago Opera Theater. He performed a Chicago premier of Marc Anthony Turnage's “Scorched” with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra featuring John Scofield, John Patitucci, and Peter Erskin. He also performed with New York composer/pianist Fred Hersch for a Chicago premier of "Leaves of Grass".
Jim has recorded and performed with notable jazz performer such as Blue Note artist Patricia Barber on “Mythologies”, Origin artist guitarist John Mc Lean's on “Better Angels”, pianist Jeremy Kahn on “Most of a Nickel”, vocalist Grazyna Auguscik's “Lulajze”

Jazzhearts
Dynamic Australian saxophonist/flautist Louise Eliott leads this contemporary London jazz ensemble in an "African-inspired jazz explosion". Since her arrival in London from Sydney she has worked with a distinguished selection of African and South American musicians, including the Grand Union Orchestra, Mervyn Africa and the late Clifford Jarvis and his Prophets of Jazz. She regularly performs with British jazz guitarist Deirdre Cartwright and has featured on recordings by Annie Whitehead the Guest Stars, Jah Wobble & Deidre Cartwright. Her music reflects the diversity of these influences and has been referred to in the Guardian as "her profoundly diverse smorgasbord of funk, blues and rock"

Started playing in 1982 on an old Chinese saxophone at the age of 16. Studied a few years at the Conservatory in Groningen but stopped in 1989. Since then I played a couple of years in Trio Dits, Van Lier & De Vries. In 1996 I moved to The Hague and after a couple of years made a restart in Jazz. Since two years I program Jazz (and play myself) in a jazzclub on the beach, De Fuut (between Scheveningen and Kijkduin - drop by on a sunday!).

One might say that ((grosskopf)) (meaning 'big head') is to compare with a funnel in which all kind of musical influence and style is inserted and out of his saxophone’s bell comes HIS music … jazz-funk spiced with drum’nbass and ambient sounds! Grant Langford
Born:
Saxophonist, recording artist, composer, and educator Grant Langford lives in New York City. Since 2005 Grant has been touring as a regular member of the Count Basie Orchestra. Mr. Langford was the first recipient of the 2003 Young Lion award by the Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium. He has performed as a leader and as a sideman in the U.S. and abroad with the Ray Charles Orchestra, TS Monk Tentet, Eric Reed Quintet, Sean Thomas Quartet, Dave Gibson Quintet, the Harlem Renaissance Orchestra, Kent Glenn-Putter Smith Quartet and The Brooklyn Soul Organization. Mr. Langford has also taught at the University of Colorado at Boulder Mile High Jazz Camp for two summers. Grant recieved his Bachelor's Degree from the New England Conservatory of Music and his teachers have included Jerry Bergonzi, George Garzone, Charlie Banacas, Danilo Perez, George Russell, Fred Haas, and Allan Chase

Gordon Brisker

Gordon Brisker, M.A. (Cal.St.U.L.A.) was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and has had a long and successful career as a jazz musician, most notably performing with and/or writing for the Woody Herman Band, Anita O'Day (as M.D.), Louie Bellson, Bobby Shew, and as a Naxos Jazz recording artist and Rico endorsee. He has also taught at the University of Sydney for five years, and has conducted clinics and masterclasses worldwide.
Mostly recognized for his tenor saxophone playing and composing, he has also recorded as a pianist, flautist and clarinetist. Brisker's arrangements and compositions are also featured on many recordings

Elias Haslanger
Born:
Over the span of his 25-year music career, native Texan and Austin resident Elias Haslanger has carved a unique and distinguished place in jazz history as a saxophonist, composer, and band leader, whose playing and writing has drawn comparisons to John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Ben Webster, and Wayne Shorter. He has performed, recorded, and toured with many world-class artists including Ellis Marsalis, Maynard Ferguson, Asleep at the Wheel, Alejandro Escovedo, The Four Tops, and The Temptations, among many others.
Elias has performed around the United States and Europe at clubs like Snug Harbor in New Orleans, Jazz Alley in Seattle, The Elephant in Austin, and The Blue Note in New York. He has also served as a guest artist/lecturer at universities around the nation. Mentored by the legendary saxophonists Harvey Pittel and Dick Oatts, Elias began to explore the instrument’s vast potential by studying saxophone at the University of Texas and then at the Manhattan School of Music. His interest in writing music culminated in a Master’s Degree in Composition at Texas State University (TSU) in San Marcos.

Diego Maroto
Born:
Diego Maroto was born in Mexico City on May 9th of 1968. In 1985 he started to take private lessons to play the saxophone from teachers Larry Roussell and Alfonso Martínez. From 1987 to 1988 he studied art history at the Universidad Iberoamericana. In 1988 he joined the jazz worksop at the Escuela Superior de Música (INBA), where he was taught improvisation, arrangement and composition by Francisco Tellez. He then continued with private lessons from Danny Matusack (New England Conservatory of Music, Boston, Mass.) and from Darryl Winsman (A well known sax player from the california scene)
