About the Album
Even by his usual wild standards “Hellbent Daydream” is a startling new project for guitarist, banjoist and composer Brandon Seabrook. Along with his new quartet of pianist/synth player Elias Stemesder, bassist Henry Fraser and violinist Erica Dicker, Seabrook uses his compositions to examine dreams and surrealism. “Name Dropping is the Lowest Form of Conversation (Waltz)” opens with an almost toy piano-like introduction from Stemesder before veering into an especially explosive electric guitar solo by Seabrook.
