Baritone Saxophonist Jason Miele, is a native of Boston Ma. and a steady performer on the New England music scene for over 10 years. After picking up the baritone sax at the age of 12, Jason made quick progress towards mastering his instrument and was soon playing with some of the regions best jazz musicians. After highschool, Jason was awarded a scholarship to the New School Jazz and Contemporary Music Program in NYC, where he studied and performed with artists such as Garry Smulyan, Chico Hamilton, George Garzone and Reggie Workman. After three years in NYC Jason transferred to Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he was awarded a full scholarship

Moving to New York immediately after graduation, Jim Hartog became a free- lance musician, performing with such artists as Jaki Byard, the Mingus Big Band, the Village Vanguard Orchestra, the Kool Jazz World Music Concert (with Karl Berger, Don Cherry, Lee Konitz, et. al.), Mickey Roker, Teddy Bärlocher, Joe Bushkin and Tito Puente. He also recorded with Carmen Lundy, Tom Varner, Keshavan Maslak, Bobby Watson, Craig Bailey, the East Down Septet, Bob Belden, and others, and toured with the New York Composers Orchestra, the FraFra Big Band, Domagoj Ralašić and Joel Forrester. Still, Jim Hartog is perhaps best known for his work with the 29th Street Saxophone Quartet, which he co-founded with Ed Jackson in 1982

After completing his undergraduate degree from Youngstown State University in 1977, Glenn moved to New York City, where he worked and recorded with The Buddy Rich Band, Lionel Hampton Orchestra, Toshiko Akiyoshi Jazz Orchestra, Tito Puente, Machito, Bill Kirchner Nonet, Bob Belden Ensemble, and scores of other jazz and latin-jazz groups. My instrument obviously is the bari sax and I consider myself an “emerging artist” on it even though i am farirly young. I consider my level of improvisation high although working on chord changes and soloing is a big part of my practice routine.

Mike Delceg Flute, Soprano Sax, Baritone Sax Mike Delceg grew up in the New York City region and saw many of the greats like Coltrane and Monk in places like Birdland and the Village Vanguard. While attending Rutgers University he played in various jazz and rock groups and participated in research for the Institute of Jazz Studies housed there. In his playing he tries to carry on a bit of that tradition.
