Royal Dixie Band Veliko Turnovo was founded in November 1983 by Georgi Popov (1941-2011). The group performs jazz standards and Dixieland. The composition has hundreds of appearances at festivals, cultural events and special occasions. Royal Dixie Band has played at jazz festivals in Bansko, Plovdiv, Teteven Dixieland parade in Gabrovo, jazz festival in Corinth (Greece), Jazz Forum Stara Zagora. Solo concert at the National Palace of Culture, Club "Studio 5" Sofia, "Layanes Club" Athens, swing club "Jazzcircle Route 66" and the House of Culture "Wittgenstein" Vienna. Royal Dixie Band is a initiator and symbolic host of "DIXIE - JAZZ FEST" Veliko Tarnovo.
