Kendrah Butler
Kendrah E. Butler has lived and breathed music ever since she could remember. She studied at Settlement Music School in Germantown, PA for 11 years with classical world renowned pianist Charles Pettaway. Kendrah studied jazz piano at the Mount Airy Cultural Center under the direction of saxophonist Anthony “Tony” Williams. At Mount Airy, she would intensely study jazz piano with greats such as Don Wilson, Kenny Gates, and for 5 years with the late great jazz pianist Eddie Green through a Roam and Haas Scholarship at Settlement Music School. Through her experiences in classical and jazz, Kendrah would premier on TV’s CN8 with the group, “The Best Yet Jazz Quintet”, cut a demo CD with Gamble and Huff records, perform around the tri-state area, and work with the late Grover Washington all before the age of 17

From North America's west coast to the east, across Western and Eastern Europe, thru the Tuvan steppes of Siberian Mongolia to the Fuji Mountains of Japan, D.mHotep has traveled across the northern hemisphere [and into Brazil] for the past decade: observing, hearing, performing, and learning music of the human earth. After picking up the guitar rather late in high school, and then leaving behind a career in architectural design, intense self- initiative and excellent private teachers such as Curtis Harmon Sr., Steve Giordano, Myrtle Young, Robert Kenyatta, Marshall Allen, and [Dennis Sandole students] Glenn Wallace and Pat Martino have helped to hone his jazz/music theory and guitar performance skills. In his first professional experience, he functioned as an integral member of the legendary DJ Tat Money's Halfro Productions team – playing both bass and guitar, contracting musicians, and even appearing in an MTV/BET broadcasted video with the hip-hop group EBS — one of the acts produced by the company. Bruce Klauber is an editor, writer and multi-instrumentalist who has contributed to and edited dozens of area and national periodicals. His works have appeared in All About Jazz, Jazziz, Jazz Times, Down Beat and others. As a professional jazz drummer the author has performed with Charlie Ventura, Milt Buckner, Bernard, Peiffer, Joanie Sommers, and led his own "Jazz for the People" Trios and Quartets in Philadelphia, Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
He is also the biographer of Gene Krupa, Jazz Legends DVD Series Producer for Alfred Publishing and Hudson Music, Jazz Bridge Press Officer, Founder of JazzLegends.com, and a working jazz drummer since childhood.

Bruce Kaminsky
Bruce earned both Master's and Bachelor’s degrees in Music from Combs College of Music, Philadelphia. In addition, he has studied Jewish Liturgical Music at Gratz College and participated in the Orchestra Seminar with Dr. Samuel Adler at the Eastman School of Music. Bruce is an alumnus of Philadelphia’s Settlement Music School. His private double bass teachers include Irving Cohen, Albert Stauffer and Enrico Rossi. Bruce Kaminsky has been bassist on more than fifty recordings, including his own Klezmer Jazz Ensemble CD: “And the Angels Swing.” He has performed in venues as varied as a command performance at the United Nations before the signing of the Israeli/Jordanian Peace Accord, the Jewish Music Festival - Berlin, Germany, and the World Café in Philadelphia. Deb Callahan

Philadelphia's blues and soul drenched vocalist and songwriter Deb Callahan grew up in the Boston area but has been a mainstay on the mid-Atlantic music scene since the late 90's. During this time she has gained a reputation for writing creative blues, soul and roots influenced original music and using her powerful, expressive voice and engaging stage presence to deliver an exciting live show. Her 2002 debut CD "If the Blues Had Wings" was featured as the hot debut in the October/November 2004 issue of Blues Revue Magazine. Bassist Nicholas Krolak is a young veteran of the Philadelphia jazz scene. He has spent the last decade working as a side-man, experiencing new styles, and studying with the masters. Jill Scott

Born in 1972 in North Philadelphia, Jill Scott grew up in the ghetto with her mom and grandmother. A deeply loved and gifted child, she learned to talk at only eight months and was reading by age four. Always the center of attention, her principal in elementary school described her as a little butterfly. After running from Jill's abusive stepfather, mother and child moved in with Jill's grandmother, with whom she had a very close bond. After a rough but memorable childhood, Scott attended Temple University, studying secondary education. She was planning on becoming a high-school English teacher. When she was placed at a school as a student-teacher, her fellow professors disapproved of her unique method of teaching the kids: she often incorporated singing and melody in order to help with memorization
