Started playing with jazz bands and composing own original music at 22 y.o. Played and recorded jazz album “Testimony” of David Friesen’s original music in 2018-2019, released in 2020. Recorded & released single called “Until Next Siren” in 2022.

David Borgo

Born:

David Borgo started playing alto saxophone at the age of 8. He had formative jazz experiences growing up in the Washington D.C. area, and went on to earn his B.M. in Jazz Studies at Indiana University, under the tutelage of renown jazz educator David N. Baker.

After graduation, David began touring widely, and his travel experiences in Turkey, Israel, Morocco, and more, sparked an interest in "world music" and the academic field of Ethnomusicology. He went on to earn M.A. and Ph.D. degress in the field from UCLA, studying with one of the world's preeminent Ethnomusicology faculty.

Al Swainger is a musician who happens to be a bassist. He is also a composer, improviser and FX enthusiast. His eclectic tastes have led to making music in a wide variety of genres over the years with literally hundreds of musicians. Covering ground from pop to progressive rock , traditional to modern jazz and fully improvised soundsculpture. Al is always keen to explore new musical territory. Currently he is focusing his unique style on his own experimental composition project Pointless Beauty. An album (After & Before) is due for release later this year featuring Neil Yates, Mike Outram, George & Mark Whitlam. Paula Maya

Paula Maya is an award winning Brazilian pianist, keyboardist, singer, composer and recording artist, nominated Best Brazilian Musician living in the US. The official release of her eleventh album Mar da Minha Terra, Yellow House Records, is July 25th 2023.

Paula Maya has songs in several compilations with artists such as Jimmy Cliff. She holds a degree from the Brazilian Conservatory of Music in Rio de Janeiro. Her compositions have roots in Brazilian traditional rhythms and melodies, such as maracatú, baião and samba. They are also inspired and influenced by bossa nova, jazz, blues, Cuban music and African music.

Romeo Velluto is a session guitarist and composer with experience in theatre performances and function bands. His education makes him able to manage rock, blues, funky, bossa, latin other than jazz. He graduated at the Music Conservatoire of Milan, Jazz department. He released 2 albums of original music, mainly jazz mixed with mediterranean sounds coming from klezmer, greek music, other than latin (bossa and tango). He worked as session guitarist for for many independent artists in London and Italy such as Marie Naffah and Ama Wilde, Glenn Miller (Buena Vista Social Club) Cosimo Keita Cadore (Shakira, Zucchero, Lionel Richie) Vittorio Bianco (Albano, Tullio De Piscopo, Gino Paoli, Rita Pavone), Thunderstrick (Iron Maiden former). Thanks to his versatility, he played in such prestigious venues in London as Bull’s Head, Blue Note of Milan, plus a number of festivals, Tuscia Jazz and Umbria Jazz among these.

Jim Josselyn

Jim got his first guitar at age 11 in Nogales, Mexico on a family trip and hasn't put it down since. Shortly after he heard Jimi Hendrix and ultimately Coltrane and Wes and Pat Martino among others and was hooked on jazz. Jim has studied with Pat, Ted Dunbar, Jimmy heath, Sir Roland Hanna, Steve Khan and Rodney Jones. 

 

He's performed with Larry Ridley, Jeb Patton, Jim Ridl, Jimmy Heath, Wynton Marsalis and at Lincoln Center, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the NJPAC and countless clubs and festivals.

Wong Foo Jeng

Born:

Foo Jeng is a Malaysian pianist and composer. It is the craft of storytelling that informs his musical character, and thus his work often finds itself between the spaces of Classical and Black American music. He’s both a finalist of The American Prize in Composition and winner of the El Paso Original Music/New Ideas Competition. Moreover, his compositions have been performed by orchestras and chamber groups at events such as the St. Petersburg New Music Festival and São Paulo Contemporary Composers Festival. He’s also conducted chamber and choral music for the Berklee Composers Alumni Concert as well as performed piano pieces for their bi- annual Old South Church concerts. Foo Jeng holds a degree in Music Performance from Berklee College of Music and will be attending the Manhattan School of Music in Fall 2021
