Les Lueurs de Lily (Camille Laïly)
Born:
Voice, words and notes. Lily grew up reading Victor Hugo's novels and poems. Soon, writing and music become the center of her life : accordion, then lyrical singing, and eventually jazz which provides her with the freedom her voice and compositions require. She arrives in Paris in 2013 and joins Sara Lazarus' class. Claude Lemesle, famous French lyricist, invites her to his writing workshop. She then records a first French song album, "Bulle" (Bubble), and plays in France. Then she moves closer to jazz, fascinated by its harmonic treasures, while keeping French as her main writing language. Today, she releases her album Poèmes Jazz (Jazz Poems) with French pianist Jibril Caratini, after playing her repertoire in Parisians halls like the Sunset Sunside or Forum Léo Ferré.
