Oprachina

Oprachina is a neologism made up of the two words opra (opera) and china (bowed), meaning alienating, back-breaking work. Coined in the first half of the 20th century, the term features in the Italian version of the "Internationale" as well as other tracts of the period. Oprachina are committed to the continuous pursuit of an equilibrium between written passages and free improvisation, helping to develop a contemporary musical language. Their first creation, "The Jazz Farm" (2007), published under the Creative Commons licence, was hailed at the 2009 Cannes Midem as the most popular Italian album by the Jamendo portal (200.000 web downloads)

At the height of the Beatles' popularity, he was often characterized as the "Quiet Beatle", noted for his introspective manner and his growing interest in Hinduism.

Frank Crowther

Born:

Frank grew up to the phonograph playing Glenn Miller, Woody Herman, Duke Ellington, and all the other dance bands greatest hits driving deep a love of that swing feel. His mother would play guitar and sing a lot of folk and popular tunes from her day, establishing a desire to play guitar and sing himself.
