Attended Northwestern HS then Central HS studying under (the master) Jeep Smith & Andy White at NW HS orchestra then began studying with Ed Pickens at the DIA formerly at 49 Selden then studied with Ray McKinney brother, of the great Harold McKinney (pianist). Attended Wayne St for a year for pre law, but began playing with various artist across the US.
