Carmen Lundy

Born: November 1, 1954

Grammy® Nominated Jazz singer, composer and arranger Carmen Lundy hails from Miami, Florida and received her B.M. degree from the University of Miami.  In 1978, Lundy moved to NYC and in 1985, she released her first solo album entitled Good Morning Kiss, which topped the Billboard chart for 23 weeks.

Currently on the Afrasia Productions label, Carmen is a 2021 Grammy® Nominated artist for her 15th and newest album Modern Ancestors, for Best Jazz Vocal Album.  Her previous release, 2017’s Code Noir, debuted at #6 on the Billboard Jazz Chart and received both critical and popular acclaim. Carmen’s other releases and discography consist of “Good Morning Kiss” (CLR/Afrasia Productions), “Moment To Moment” (Arabesque/Afrasia Productions), “Night And Day” (CBS/SONY and re-issued by Afrasia in 2011), “Old Devil Moon” (JVC), “Self Portrait” (JVC), “Something To Believe In” and “This Is Carmen Lundy” (both for Justin Time), “Jazz and The New Songbook – Live at The Madrid” (2-disc set and DVD, Afrasia Productions), “Come Home”, “Solamente”, “Changes”, “Soul To Soul” and “Code Noir” (Afrasia Productions). Claudio Celso

Born: August 4, 1955

Claudio Celso (born August 4, 1955) is a Brazilian guitarist, composer and arranger. His work includes jazz, bossa nova and Brazilian popular music. He was considered in 2000 one of the best jazz contemporary musicians by South Florida "New Times" magazine and listed in the world´s top 100 guitarists by Brazil´s Guitar Player magazine in 2006.

Henry Godfrey

Henry Godfrey is a composer and instrumentalist currently based in Boston, MA. He has performed his own compositions in venues and festivals across North America and South-East Asia. As a composer/arranger, he has worked with esteemed groups such as the US Army Blues and the Berklee Concert Jazz Orchestra.

Since moving from the Washington DC area, Henry has recorded and performed with the Henry Godfrey Jazz Orchestra, a big band he directs and writes for. Their first release, Love Finds Everyone (Jan 2019) was followed up with the extended release Love Finds Everyone LP Edition (June 2020).

Suzan Veneman

Born: 1990

Jazz trumpet player and composer Suzan Veneman captures audiences with her adventurous and soulful sound. After finishing her studies in the USA she has played an active part on the jazz scene both in the Netherlands and abroad. Comfortable in many genres of modern music, she can be seen playing with a wide variety of bands, including: the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw, BvR Flamenco Big Band, Zack Lober’s NO FILL3R, Iman Spaargaren's 'Undercurrent Trio' and her own ambitious projects ‘Zinder’ and the 'Suzan Veneman Sextet'. 

Her early achievements include being finalist at the Prinses Christina Concours (NL, 2010) and partaking in the exclusive Jazz Rising Stars Program at Ravinia, IL (USA, 2013) lead by former jazz giant David Baker.
 

Eri Chichibu

Eri is an award-winning Japanese composer/arranger/pianist/keyboardist/bandleader. She graduated Berklee College of Music in Boston, dual majored in Jazz Composition and Film Scoring, and minored in Video Game Scoring. Before diving into music field, she has studied education and psychology at Tohoku University in Japan. Her unique sounding music may be created because of this unique background. After she started her path as a musician, her works have recognized by many organization such as ASCAP, ISJAC, JEN, and more. (e.g. 2020 ISJAC/USF Owen Prize, 2020 & 2019 ASCAP Foundation Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award.) While she writes and performs her jazz compositions as a bandleader, she also makes music for media (TV, radio, video games, theater, and more)

Miho Hazama

Born: November 13, 1986

Grammy-nominated composer, Miho Hazama is one of the most promising and talented composers/arrangers of her generation. Lauded in Downbeat as one of “25 for the Future”, Miho developed her signature jazz chamber orchestra “munit”. Now having three full length releases on Universal Music Japan/ Sunnyside Records, Miho has written for and expertly showcased the abilities of guest artists such as Joshua Redman, Lionel Loueke, Stefon Harris, and Gil Goldstein, to name a few. Her debut album received the Jazz JAPAN rising star award, and she has been featured in such influential publications as Downbeat, The New York Times, NPR, JazzTimes among others

Gabriel Santiago

Born: September 25, 1980

Brazilian-born Gabriel Santiago is an award-winning composer, arranger, performer, and music educator. A master of both the acoustic and electric guitar, Santiago has released 14 albums (including CDs & DVDs) and regularly performs solo and accompanied concerts and festivals across the U.S. and around the globe. Filled with passion and culture, his ever-evolving sound represents a dynamic confluence of his classical, jazz and Brazilian roots. Dennis Mackrel

Born: April 3, 1962

Dennis was born, April 3, 1962. A child prodigy, he began playing the drums when he was two; and became a professional musician at the age of ten when he performed in the Anchorage Community Theater's production of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum". Developing his craft in various playing situations, Dennis received numerous awards such as "Who's Who in Music", 1979; National Endowment for the Arts grant for composition in 1983; and in 1992; "Outstanding Alumni" from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. While attending UNLV, he was a member of the acclaimed UNLV Jazz Ensemble where his drumming and arranging skills caught the attention of legendary jazz vocalist Joe Williams
