Anthony Stanco

Anthony Stanco is a trumpeter, composer, bandleader, and educator from Southeast Michigan. A product of Detroit's rich musical heritage, Stanco spent his early years studying under such local heroes as Marcus Belgrave and Rodney Whitaker. He enrolled in the Manhattan School of Music to continue his education with world-famous brass pedagogue Laurie Frink before returning to Michigan State University for his master's degree in 2014. While completing his education, he won the International Trumpet Guild's 2013 Jazz Competition. Louis Tsamous

Loiuis Tsamous began playing the drums at age 10 and later graduated from The Ohio State University with a BA in 1982. He has since become one of the most versatile and active musicians in America. He has toured Europe, Asia and the Caribbean and has recorded and performed with jazz artists Stanley Turrentine, Etta Jones, Jimmy McGriff, Dr. Lonnie Smith, David “Fathead” Newman, Joey DeFrancesco and Kevin Mahogany among others.He recently toured the United States and Europe with jazz guitar legend Pat Martino.In addition to performing with various groups in the Midwest, Louis has done clinics at many high schools and universities across the country

Alex Schrock

Alex Schrock is a guitarist, composer and teacher in the Columbus area. Originally from Canton, Ohio, Alex began playing bass at age 12, then switched the guitar in high school and never looked back. He received his bachelor’s in music composition from the University of Akron and his master’s in music composition from Cleveland State University. While in Cleveland, Alex studied with Cleveland jazz legends Bob Fraser and Rock Wehrmann. Alex also played in many acclaimed groups in Northeast Ohio, including the Mahavishnu Orchestra Project, Paul Stranahan’s Insomnia and Moises Borges. Now in Columbus, Alex leads his own groups in addition to being an in demand guitarist for jazz, soul, and hip-hop groups

Mark Williams has over 40 years' professional experience as a guitarist, teacher, recording artist and composer, and it's demonstrated on every performance. Career highlights include live radio broadcasts from Los Angeles and concert performances with the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, as well as extensive work in night clubs, for fashion shows and wedding ceremonies throughout Ohio. Mark currently appears regularly at the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club and the John Glenn International Airport. Mark performs as a soloist on the 7 string electric-acoustic guitar custom built by legendary guitar maker J Thomas Davis

Linda is a performer, composer, and former music instructor at Kenyon College. Her playing experience includes jazz, blues, rock, and classical music genres.
She holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance from Capital University and a Master of Arts in Percussion Pedagogy from The Ohio State University.
She leads an organ trio, quartet, a tribute project to Charles Earland, and a rock/jazz fusion B3 based instrumental quartet.
She is also the drummer for the popular central Ohio rock band, "RoxyJanes".
Linda will also take calls for B3, piano, keyboard, and drumset work in jazz, blues, and rock genres on a substitute basis.

Rahsaan Roland Kirk

Born:
Kirk was born Ronald Theodore Kirk in Columbus, Ohio, but felt compelled by a dream to transpose two letters in his first name to make Roland. In 1970, Kirk added "Rahsaan" to his name. Preferring to lead his own groups, Kirk rarely performed as a sideman, though he did record with arranger Quincy Jones, Roy Haynes and had especially notable stints with Charles Mingus. He played the lead flute and solo on Jones' Soul Bossa Nova, a song popularized in the Austin Powers films (Jones 1964; McLeod et al. 1997). His playing was generally rooted in soul jazz or hard bop, but Kirk's knowledge of jazz history allowed him to draw on many elements of the music's history, from ragtime to swing and free jazz

Rusty Bryant

Born:
Bryant was born in Huntington, West Virginia, and grew up in Columbus, Ohio, becoming a fixture of the local jazz scene. He worked with Tiny Grimes and Stomp Gordon before founding his own ensemble, the Carolyn Club Band, in 1951. He signed with Dot Records in 1954 and released several albums as a leader in the second half of the 1950s. In 1952, his live recording "All Nite Long" (a faster version of "Night Train") became a hit R&B single in the U.S. Bryant's contract with Dot ended in 1957, and he returned to Columbus to do mostly local engagements, playing often with pianist-organist Hank Marr
