Rick Bogart

Rick Bogart is one of the most active jazz clarinetists in the world today. With a mellow sound on the clarinet and a unique vocal style he appeals to the general public.
Rick Bogart worked in New Orleans during the "heyday" of the French Quarter during the mid 1970s within the first five blocks of Bourbon Street. At that time, there were fifteen full-time Jazz bands along those blocks. During this time, he played in the bands of Snookum Russell and Wallace Davenport at the Paddock Lounge, and with June Gardner, Nick Gagliardi, Milton Ziedrich and Thomas Jefferson at the Famous Door.

Rozanne Levine

ALTO CLARINET; CLARINET; BAMBOO FLUTE; COMPOSITION Rozanne Levine was introduced to the jazz/new music community as a performer with William Parker and Patricia Nicholson Parker's Centering Music/Dance Ensemble during the late 1970’s. Her work with the Parkers is documented on the Eremite release, “Through Acceptance Of The Mystery Peace/The Music Of William Parker”. Throughout the 1980’s and 1990's she performed in saxophonist/clarinetist Mark Whitecage's Glass House Ensemble, playing both clarinet and Whitecage's sound sculptures. In 1993 she rejoined the Parkers as a founding member of their New York-based Improvisors Collective, performing in the Collective Orchestra and with Collective members in smaller ensembles as well as at Collective Festivals

Lajos Dudas

Lajos Dudas was born in Budapest/Hungary and studied there at the Bela Bartok Conservatory and the Franz Liszt Academy of Music (1958-1963), laying the foundations for his successful career not only as jazz and pop/rock musician but also on the classical side (Strawinsky: Three Solopieces, Weber: Clarinet Quintet, Glazunow: Concerto for Altosax...)
He won international recognition, above all, with his successful composition URBAN BLUES at the International Jazz Competition in Monaco 1982. Joachim-Ernst Berendt writes in his THE GREAT JAZZBOOK : “Dudas is a stylist highly regarded in Europe for the tenderness and lightness of his free-tonal playing.” — “...and he can also plays the good old american blues.” CKCU-FM / Ottawa. In the 1980s he was ranked high year after year in the 'Top People Poll' the famous International Jazz Forum. After his period as a freelance musician (1963-73) Dudas has been a lecturer (School of Music in Neuss/GER) and also taught from 1975 to 1985 at the Rheinland College of Education. In addition, since 1976, after a short concentrating on classical music, he worked with well-known musicians on recordings, Radio-, TV-productions and tours : they include Albert Mangelsdorff, Karl Berger, Gerd Dudek, Tom van der Geld, Attila Zoller, Howard Johnson, Philipp van Endert, Tommy Vig, Charles Tolliver, Leonard Jones, Theo Joergensmann, Vitold Rek, etc... Frank Gratkowski

Frank Gratkowski was born in Hamburg in 1963 and studied at the Cologne University of Music and Dance. He has extended his instrumental skills to include almost the entire spectrum of woodwind instruments, including flutes. He works intensively on tonal extensions and modifications of his instruments in solo projects and small formations using unorthodox playing techniques and microtonal concepts, some of which he has developed himself. As a bandleader and composer, he traverses the broad context of contemporary improvised music. There is no clear distinction between composition and improvisation in his work.

After cutting his teeth in the N.Y.C. and Los Angeles club scenes Bill headlined regularly in comedy clubs all across the country. Bill studied acting in N.Y. with Stella Adler and Jack Garfein. Matt Snyder

Matt Snyder is a clarinetist and saxophonist based in Brooklyn. On the New York scene since 1995, his primary instruments are clarinet and bass clarinet, with baritone saxophone as his main double. He performed for over 20 years with Mike Longo's New York State of the Art Jazz Ensemble, and is the longtime clarinetist for The Shul Band, the house band for The Shul Of New York, a synagogue on the Lower East Side. Past projects include Type II, a band co-founded with vibraphonist Nick Mancini, and The New Reed Quartet, which featured Matt alongside with Perry Robinson, Mark Whitecage and Rozanne Levine
