Charles Lloyd & the Marvels + Lucinda Williams: Vanished Gardens

Read "Vanished Gardens" reviewed by Luca Muchetti

Arild Andersen & Scottish National Jazz Orchestra: Celebration

Read "Celebration" reviewed by AAJ Italy Staff

Arild Andersen è certamente uno dei più noti bassisti europei e questo eccellente Celebration non fa altro che rinnovare il suo profondo legame con l'etichetta ECM di Manfred Eicher. Tony Monaco: Celebration

Read "Celebration" reviewed by Hrayr Attarian

If organists Shirley Scott and Jimmy Smith had formed some sort of a musical union, the offspring would no doubt have been Tony Monaco. Manifesting the melodicism of the former, the orchestral sensibilities of the latter and virtuosity of both, Monaco has become one of the most versatile and dazzling performers on the Hammond B3.

Alex Riel: Celebration

Read "Celebration" reviewed by Jack Bowers

A thoughtfully planned, beautifully recorded, generously timed and wonderfully played trio session led by drummer Alex Riel and showcasing the prodigious talents of pianist Kenny Werner and bassist Jesper Lundgaard, so exhilarating that this reviewer was reminded from time to time of the classic Marian McPartland Hickory House trio from the '50s with bassist Bill Crow ...

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
