Daseul Kim

Born in South Korea 1986, Daseul Kim’s musical journey started thousands of miles away from his current New Jersey home. Already a well respected musician in his homeland, it was the call of jazz that led Daseul to the United States, where his is quickly gaining a reputation as one of the most promising young bassists on the New York scene. Exposed early on to traditional Korean music, Daseul quickly gained attention when he was awarded the grand prize in Korea’s National Students Piano Contest at the tender age of six. However, it was not until his third year of high school, when he started to play bass guitar in the school’s band, that he knew he wanted to be a musician

Quando, teve como professor de baixo acústico clássico, à época o “spalla” de contrabaixo do Theatro Municipal do Rio, o prof. Renato Sbragia. Isto, por recomendação do baixista Manuel Gusmão, após ter assistido uma apresentação do Copa Trio, liderado pelo pianista (Don)Salvador e o baterista Do Um Romão, acompanhando Wilson Simonal. Assim, na verdade estava buscando tocar o jazz e a bossa nova. A partir daí, teve a sorte de conviver com os seus ídolos, tais como o baterista Edison Machado, Luiz Carlos Vinhas, Luizão Maia, Tenório Jr., Edson Lobo, Sergio Barrozo Neto, Bebeto Castilho, Juarez Araujo, Aurino Ferreira, Vitor Assis Brazil, Claudio Roditi, Helio Delmiro, Fernando Martins, Haroldo Mauro Jr, Tomas Improta e Alfredo Cardim, Duduka Fonseca, Tony Botelho, Cesarius Alvim, Aloysio Milanez Aguiar, Mauro Senise e Marcio Montarroyos, para citar alguns

Bio: Rudolph E. Finnell, Sr. Rudolph Finnell, Sr., fondly called “Rudy” in his adult years, was raised on the near north side of Indianapolis. His first musical experience began at IPS School #26 with Mr. James Compton where he played the baritone horn and tuba. He played tuba in the Arsenal Technical High School Band under the direction of Mr. Raymond Brandes. With the encouragement of his older brother, Rudy started playing the string bass. It was Mr. Brandes that encouraged Rudy to become a music teacher. Listening to the jazz music of his brother, a musician, and older sister, influenced and developed his passion for jazz music

Charlie Glenn
In between tours you might find Charlie in his Los Angeles area recording studio, arranging and producing music for clients like Disney Records. Charlie produced the Disney album "For Our Children" which has sold more than a million copies and includes artists Paul McCartney, Elton John and Paula Abdul. By the age of 18, Charlie had moved to Los Angeles and was well-versed in the LA Music Scene. Charlie wasted no time in bringing together several of his Nashville music friends. His band would climb the mountain to stardom in LA. The group would be called "Ozone". The talent in Charlie' new band was undeniable and that fact was immediately recognized by music icon Billy Preston who snatched them up to be his personal band

Dave Zinno
Dave Zinno studied at Berklee College and at the University of Rhode Island. He studied bass with Bill Piacitelli, Gary Peacock, and Walter Booker, Jr. and has performed with Dianne Schurr. He lived in New York City for ten years, where he performed with Jimmy Cobb, John Medeski, Larry Willis, Sonny Fortune and others. He played in the Broadway pit orchestra for Sugar Babies and An Evening with Michael Feinstein. He also wrote, produced and performed music for national advertising campaigns and is currently teaching at the University of Rhode Island and Brown University. Recent recordings include Un (Rope a Dope Records), BTYZ and Man on a Bridge, among others.
