Josh Marcum
Double bassist Josh Marcum has performed with numerous orchestras and ensembles at such noted venues as Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Iridium, Mezzrow, Smoke, and Symphony Space, among others. At home in New York City, Josh works regularly in a duo with master guitarist Gene Bertoncini, and he has also performed alongside other jazz greats such as Bucky Pizzarelli, Les Paul, Donald Brown, Larry Fuller, Roni Ben-Hur, Roger Kellaway, Ralph Lalama, Ed Laub, Paul Meyers, and Bill Mobley. Tony Overwater is an award winning bass player whose sound and unique way of playing have established him as a key player in the European music world. He is a remarkable solo performer and leader of his own projects but also a collaborative and attentive sideman. He is well known for his pioneering work in Arab music. Besides his own projects and bands, Like the Tony Overwater Ensemble, Tony is collaborating with the Lebanese singer Rima Khcheich, Maarten Ornstein, Joshua Samson, Rembrandt Frerichs, Visent Planjer, Kayhan Kalhor, Lotte van Dijck and many others. Tony Overwater won several awards among which the prestigious Boy Edgar Prize and the Edison.

Petros Damiani
Born:
Petros Damianidis was born in 1983 in Thessaloniki, Greece. He started his music studies at traditional greek instruments and continued studying electric bass with Petros Kardasis. Since 2007, he has been studying classical double-bass at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki with Mpampis Heimarios and has collaborated with the orchestra of State Conservatory of Thessaloniki. Since 2009, he has been teaching electric bass in various private music conservatories in Thessaloniki. He is founding member of Trio Amnesia, Toys Factory and Act Up Trio, participates in several groups of jazz music (Jazz Collectiva, Swing time Quartet etc.) and has performed at concerts in different cities in Greece. In 2010, he participates in the Summer school of Jazz Music of Cod arts in Rotterdam and had lessons with Hein Van de Geyn. He has collaborated with Augusto Pirodda, Giovanni Di Domenico, Danielle Martini, Rubben Verbrugen, Joao Lobo, Panayiotis Damianidis, Christos Yermenoglou, Achilleas Sourlas and others.
