Sadiki Pierre is a talented upright bass player who is uniquely capable of playing and fusing almost any style of music including classical, jazz, latin, reggae and R&B. When he first started playing the upright bass, he had no interest in actually learning the instrument and instead was only looking for a way to get out of his sixth grade class. Fortunately, he chose the right distraction from his schoolwork. It soon became apparent that he was quite musically adept. Although his parents could not initially afford to buy him his own instrument and pay for private lessons, he was still chosen to perform with the New York State School Music Association’s All-State Orchestra in addition to performing with another prestigious student orchestra throughout Europe. Despite the encouragement of those closest to him to study at a school like Juilliard or Berklee to become a full-time musician, Sadiki chose to attend an aviation school called Daniel Webster College in order to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a professional pilot

Grayson Brockamp

Born: March 6, 1987

The oldest of five kids, Grayson Hackelman was raised in Greensboro, North Carolina. He first studied piano but then switched to the double bass in his middle school orchestra. Grayson attended North Carolina School of the Arts throughout high-school where he developed a strong foundation in classical and jazz music. ​ After obtaining his Bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, he relocated to New York City in 2010 where he completed his Master's Degree in Jazz Performance from the Manhattan School of Music. His final presentation featured saxophonists Seamus Blake and Stephen Riley in a multimedia performance

Nick Frese

Ville Matti Rauhala

Born: November, 1976

A native of Tampere since his early twenties, Ville Rauhala was born in the neighbouring rural municipality of Kangasala in 1976. He has taken double bass lessons at the Pirkanmaa Music Institute and studied ethnomusicology at the University of Tampere for a period of ten years at the turn of the Millennium. One of his most long-standing collaborators is saxophonist Masa Orpana, another Kangasala- based musician and a prominent figure of the North Tavastia jazz and rhythm & blues scene. The men have performed and recorded together in line-ups such as Olmarin Unioni ever since the early 1990s. Rauhala’s path to a fully-fledged professional musicianship commenced in the mid-1990s in the ranks of various roots bands

Ben Basile

Born: April 25, 1988

Ben Basile is a bassist, educator, and composer from New York’s Hudson Valley Area. He holds a Bachelor's of Science in Jazz Studies from The State University of New York at New Paltz and a Music Performance Certificate from The State University of New York at Dutchess Community College. Ben has performed, composed, recorded, and toured across six continents with a variety of groups. Most notably, Ben has been a member of Big D and The Kids Table since 2013 and is a founding member of The Poughkeepsie Jazz Project, a group which has hosted a weekly jazz jam session in Poughkeepsie, NY since 2012.

Kristian B. Jacobsen is a Norwegian acoustic and electric bassist. He is a member of the Norwegian jazz/soul quartet ROHEY that has toured extensively throughout Europe and Scandinavia. Jacobsen features releases by Lukas Zabulionis Quintet, Drøm and ROHEY.
