Randy Ingram is a thoughtful, versatile young pianist and improviser, with an expressive touch and a keen imagination. Together with Edward Perez (bass) and Ferenc Nemeth (drums), he strives for an eclectic mix of composition, improvisation and interpretation. Russ Freeman is a largely forgotten jazz composer, a pianist who wrote distinctive, catchy melodies and whose work was played and recorded by Stan Getz, Chet Baker, Frank Rosolino and a host of others in the 1950's. Every Sunday night, from 830pm, trumpeter John McNeil and tenor saxophonist Bill McHenry will be playing these classic tunes, many of which have not been heard for half a century.
